After No More Blue forums clue, it was felt that something needed to continue for the members who still wanted a place to chat. After much discussion, Green Groove Zone was born.

History

Sonic Arena started as a small battle system for members of the original NMB forum to play. It quickly opened into a much bigger web based RPG, with quests battles and more. We are not here to set new mile stones in fan gaming, we are not trying to make a game that would rival the likes of Sonic Team themselves. We are simply a collection of people who are having fun building something which we wish to share with our members. We hope the fun we had will cross over to the players.
With a successful prequel with over 500 registered members, Sonic Arena 2 was set to be a step up from the last adventure with more features and a more expansive level of gaming.

Story

As the original game draws to a close, Metal Sonic has gotten his hands on the Sceptre of Darkness, an item of great power. Along with the Chaos Emeralds, Metal Sonic creates a controlled nuclear explosion, turning most of Mobius into a barren wasteland, over run by creatures. Sonic Arena 2 takes place 2 years after the original game’s ending. The inhabitants of Mobius have begun to rebuild society slowly after the mass damage Metal Sonic has caused. The heroes known so well around Mobius, including the famous Sonic the Hedgehog, are no where to be seen. Did they even survive the blast? The Mobians are beginning an uprising. A band of new uprising heroes take the stand, preparing to build a resistance and fight back against the evil that has corrupted the once peaceful planet.

Current Status (as of 25/09/2009):

Sonic Arena Two has been online for a year with over 2000 players register over the last 12 months. Management of the game was taken into the hands of James Maloney who has taken the game from strength to strength.

What is “The Lost Chapters”?

The lost chapters is a brand new experience to the Sonic Arena universe. After the success of the original web game, we decided to take it a step further and give our players and living world in the form of Sonic Arena 2. We felt it was time to give our players another way to look into our unique world and it was obvious to us that taking the player on a story driven adventure was the best way to go.

So what is the story?

The Lost Chapters takes you through the events of Sonic Arena One as Tails. After Sonic went missing six months ago, Tails’ decides it is up to him to find his friend. However it doesn’t end there as we also let you see what happens to Tails in the 17 months between the end of Sonic Arena One and the beginning of Sonic Arena Two.
